Cory & Christine Smith – Cory is a Virginia native and attended Virginia Commonwealth where he received his undergraduate degree in biology and his Masters in Teaching. During his time at VCU, Cory played on the soccer team and was a full-time volunteer for Young Life. After finishing college, Cory entered the Young Life intern program for two years and continued on staff for two additional years in Virginia.
After finishing his time with Young Life, Cory worked in the construction remodeling business and then was Project Manager and Lead Estimator for Painter Ready.
Christine originally grew up in upstate New York. She attended Utica College of Syracuse University and is board certified as an occupational therapist. Christine regularly speaks into the lives of the program participants and helps out with administrative details in the office.
The Smiths were married in 2001 and have lived in Colorado since 2002. They have two children: a beautiful daughter, Sage, born in 2009 and a son, Cedar, who was born 2013. Christine and Cory love being parents and will soon be celebrating 15 years of marriage. Cory enjoys fly fishing, wearing flip flops and shorts, and hanging with friends in his garage. Christine loves- deep conversations, being a mom, organic food, natural remedies and raising her backyard chickens.
Corey and Alyssa Woosley have been married for just over a year. They are both Sarasota natives and combined have roots that run ten generations deep in Florida. They both opted out of completing college and instead pursued missions and photography through YWAM. Alyssa attended the PhotogenX Discipleship School in Kona, Hawaii. Corey attended the School of Documentary Photography in Amsterdam, Holland. They both have maintained careers in the industry. Alyssa owns and runs a successful wedding photography company, and Corey has worked as a cameraman for a production company that produces outdoor television shows for the past two years.
Corey also attended Training Ground in 2011. It was at that time that the Lord began to equip Corey and reveal to him how he was to use his life to minister to other young men.
Corey spends as much of his free time as possible either on the water or in the woods. Alyssa’s favorite things in life are her job, coffee, and her mini dachshund “Remmy”.
Lee Maize attended Olivet and Southern Nazarene University and is a summer graduate with a Multi-divisional BA with an emphasis in Psychology. He has been in various leadership positions for nonprofit ministries since 1993. A couple of national organizations close to his heart are the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions (A.G.R.M.) and Christian Camp and Conference Association (C.C.C.A.).
His journey led him from a childhood devoid of fathering in the government housing projects of northern Illinois to the age of 16 where he was taken in by a loving family. Lee loves to walk with others into the realities of faith and their life stories. As a former men’s ministry director and current Air Force cadet sponsor walking with men is his passion.
Lee strongly believes in the power of hospitality and how it can convey the benevolent heart of our heavenly Father. Lee’s home has been the base for the TG guys since 2012.
In April of 2016, Lee completed the Lay Counseling Certification through the Allender Center in Seattle WA.
